Core Mechanism of Action
Non‑selective melanocortin receptor agonist, mainly targets central MC4R and MC3R in hypothalamus. Stimulates dopamine release within mesolimbic reward circuits to modulate central sexual‑motivation pathways. Distinct from peripheral vaso‑active agents. Cyclized lactam structure improves metabolic stability. Also researched for melanocortin‑related energy balance, inflammation and nociception signaling.
