Description
Mitochondrial‑derived peptide (MDP family) consisting of 16 amino acids, belonging to the same large family as Humanin. Lyophilized research‑grade peptide, for research use only, not for human administration.
Core Mechanism of Action
Activates the AMPK pathway, the key energy switch activated in the body post‑exercise, hence known in research circles as an “exercise‑mimetic peptide”.
Inhibits folate cycle, elevates AICAR level to indirectly activate AMPK, enhances muscular glucose uptake as well as fatty acid oxidation for fat burning.
Under metabolic stress, it translocates into the cell nucleus to regulate nuclear gene expression, mediating mitochondrial biogenesis, antioxidant effect and anti‑inflammatory response.
MOTS‑c is endogenously produced by human mitochondria. Its concentration declines with advancing age, and physical exercise can boost endogenous MOTS‑c levels.

Storage (unreconstituted). Room temperature — stable for 1–3 years (potentially more). For long-term storage, −20 °C to 8 °C is recommended (up to 20 years+).
